Asian challenge cup-2018, a bandy tournament, was held between 2nd-9th April, 2018 in Manila, Philippines. Athletes from Singapore, Thailand, Kuwait, Philippines and Mongolia were contested and Mongolia’s bandy top team beat Thailand by 5:1 to win the first gold medal. Although Asian Championship in bandy category is not organized in Asia, the International Bandy Association organizes the Challenge cup annually to grade the teams.

Mongolia's Bandy players are taking part in the competition for the 8th year with past achievements of 4 bronze and 1 silver medal, and this year, by winning the gold, the team now has a chance to play in world championship games in the future.

The top team members included athletes of Otgon Od club of Blast LLC, Tamir.G /IM/, Bayarsaikhan.G /IM/, Munkhbold.B /IM/, Shinebayar.Ts/ SM/, Bat-Erdene.N /SM and Enkh-Amgalan.E /SM/.
