Since 2010, Blast LLC has organized the Camel fest in Gurvantes, Southgobi in association with the local authorities. The main purpose of the festival is to preserve and grow the head of two-humped camel that are growing scarce, draw public attention to the matter and to increase the public gain from tourism. A fair displaying various handmade and camel dairy products takes place during the festival, assisting locals’ income.

In recent years, the status of the camel increased and the heads grew constantly, reaching 401300 by 2016 as some Gobi provinces and the soums of Southgobi started organizing the Camel fest. And Southgobi named as the province with the highest number of camels. 

The scarce two-humped camel in the world may reach millions.
